What Will You Explore?
Through Integration Technique®, we will explore the connection between money, emotions, the body, family experiences, and learned patterns.
You will have an opportunity to notice:
- Messages about money that you received while growing up
- Emotional reactions connected to family financial experiences
- Thinkings about what is possible or appropriate for “people like us”
- Feelings that arise when imagining having more money than your family
- Fear, guilt, or discomfort around financial success
- Patterns of scarcity and constant anticipation of loss
- The tendency to prioritize survival and security over growth
- Self – sacrifice and putting everyone else’s needs before your own
- Fear of being visible, successful, or different from those around you
- Feelings of responsibility or loyalty connected to family expectations
These patterns are not necessarily conscious decisions. They may have developed as ways of making sense of the world and maintaining connection, safety, belonging, or stability.
The Body, Emotions & Our Relationship With Money
Our relationship with money does not exist only in our thoughts. A financial situation can create an immediate physical response – tension, contraction, heaviness, restlessness, excitement, urgency, or a desire to avoid the situation altogether. Sometimes the body reacts before we have identified the thinking behind the reaction.
Integration Technique® offers an opportunity to slow down and become aware of these experiences. By noticing sensations, emotions, memories, and internal responses, we can begin to explore what may be underneath our automatic reactions to money. The intention is not to assume that every sensation has a hidden meaning or that every financial pattern has an ancestral cause. Instead, we create space to become curious about the experiences that may be influencing our relationship with money today.
Family Patterns & Collective Influences
Every family has its own relationship with money. For some families, money may have represented security and achievement. For others, it may have been associated with conflict, uncertainty, sacrifice, or survival. Beyond the family, we are also influenced by the wider environment in which we grow up. Cultural attitudes, social expectations, economic conditions, and collective experiences can shape what we consider normal, possible, safe, or acceptable. Some people choose to explore these influences through the idea of ancestral or intergenerational patterns. This can include reflecting on experiences that occurred in previous generations and considering how family stories, behaviors, and emotional attitudes toward money may continue to influence the present. The purpose is not to assign blame to previous generations or to assume that we are destined to repeat their experiences. It is an invitation to ask: What belongs to my present life, and what might I have learned from the environment in which I grew up?
Patterns You May Recognize
During the workshop, we may explore patterns such as:
- Poverty Consciousness: Growing up with the thinking that there is never enough or that financial abundance is simply not available to people from your background.
- Survival Over Growth: When family experiences of economic hardship, instability, displacement, or uncertainty create a strong focus on safety and avoiding risk.
- Loyalty to Family: Feeling uncomfortable, guilty, or disloyal when imagining earning significantly more than your parents, grandparents, or other family members.
- Fear of Visibility: Experiencing discomfort with being seen, successful, ambitious, or financially different from the people around you.
- Scarcity: Continuously anticipating that money will disappear, even when there is currently enough.
- Self – Sacrifice: Automatically putting the needs of others first and experiencing difficulty allowing yourself to receive, keep, or enjoy financial resources.
These are patterns to explore, not labels to identify with. The goal is not to decide that your family caused your financial difficulties. The goal is to become more aware of the experiences and emotional responses that may be influencing your choices today.
What Will You Gain?
During this workshop, you will have the opportunity to:
- Explore where some of your thinkings about money may have originated
- Recognize messages about money learned during childhood
- Become more aware of family and environmental influences
- Notice how money – related experiences are expressed in the body
- Explore emotions connected to scarcity, success, receiving, and financial security
- Identify patterns that may no longer reflect your present circumstances
- Develop greater curiosity and self – compassion toward your financial patterns
- Create more awareness around family expectations and internalized thnikings
- Explore your experiences through Integration Technique®
- Create more freedom to decide which patterns you want to continue
The intention is not to reject your family history or to blame previous generations. It is to understand your relationship with money with greater awareness, compassion, and choice.
How Are We Going To Do It?
Using Integration Technique®, we will gently explore experiences, emotions, bodily sensations and memories connected to money and family. The process is experiential and approached at your own pace. You will be invited to notice what arises without forcing a particular outcome or interpretation. If an experience becomes overwhelming, you are encouraged to pause, step out, or take whatever space you need. This workshop focuses on self – awareness, emotional exploration, and personal integration. It is not financial, investment, psychological, or medical advice.
